The Independent - 10 Best Family Games

Following on from its December 2001 appearance as the top creative/educational toy and 2nd overall in the Independent's 50 Best Toys feature, the Tantrix Game Pack featured in the same newspaper's "Ten Best Family Games" list in December 2002, as you can see below.

Those of you who know that the multi-player Tantrix game is "easily the best game ever invented" (to quote one of our enthusiastic customers) may be a bit surprised to read that Tantrix is "even better as a kind of solitaire" but don't worry, the journalist had loads of games for his family to review in just one weekend, hence it would not be too surprising if they did not get the chance to have a proper go at the game itself ... and those Discovery puzzles are remarkably addictive, after all!

Please rest assured that the difference in price quoted on the the two articles does not signify a general increase in the price of the Tantrix Game Pack. Prices do vary slightly between stockists, but not usually by enough to make it worth the expense or hassle of travelling from place to place to shop around. As those of you with a Tantrix Game Pack will know, the wide range of activities included in the booklet make it great value at any reasonable price.

Games included in the 10 best were Fluxx, Upwords, The Settlers of Catan, Monopoly, The Viking Game, Simpson's Cluedo, Cranium Cadoo, Perudo and Hive as well as Tantrix. Definitely a nice collection of games for any family - but we are sure that like most of you reading this they would end up playing with their Tantrix tiles (real or virtual) more than anything else!
