Tantrix in the UK and Ireland

World Junior Championship
UK Press Coverage

The Belfast Telegraph reported on 13-year-old Simon Wright (GBR) retaining his World Junior Championship title and providing Northern Ireland with a rare double World Champion.

The story, written by the Belfast Telegraph's very own New Zealander Paul Dykes, amusingly reflects the fact that Northern Ireland is currently the area of the UK with the least Tantrix players. This of course makes it all the more impressive that, for two years in a row, Simon has beaten off opposition from places where Tantrix is much more popular. However, it means that he may have to continue winning Tantrix titles for a few years yet (while he waits for the rest of NI to 'catch up') before true fame and fortune can be his! ;-)
